It is with great excitement that I welcome you to the 2025-2026 school year at Rankin Elementary! Whether you're returning or joining us for the first time, we are so glad you’re here. This year, we’re not just stepping into another school year we’re stepping into a year of D.R.E.A.M.s.
At Rankin, D.R.E.A.M. stands for Dedication, Responsibility, Engagement, Achievement, and Mentorship; five powerful words that guide everything we do. These values not only shape the way we teach and learn but also define the spirit of our incredible school community. We believe that when we all DREAM together, students, families, and staff, amazing things happen.
It is truly an honor to serve as the principal of Rankin Elementary. After a whirlwind summer spent traveling and golfing with my two teenage boys and taking in the beauty of our Montana home, I’m reenergized and ready to partner with you to make this year remarkable. For those who may not know me yet, my name is Merisa Murray. I’m a Flathead Valley native, raised in Bigfork, and I feel incredibly fortunate to raise my own children in this community and lead this amazing school.
As we begin this journey together, I want to thank you for the support, trust, and energy you bring. Rankin is a special place because of the strong relationships between our students, staff, and families. We are a team, and it’s our shared commitment that helps every child thrive.
